What you need to do: Send your availability for Sat. Sept. 24th and Sun. Sept., 25th asap.
The concept is an amalgamation of various Premier Leagues that we are seeing around.
The core concept is as follows.
1) We will have 4 teams in our GPL - A, B, C and D. FYI: Nothing to do with our BGSC teams.
2) We will nominate 4 players, current gymkhana members, to OWN the 4 teams.
3) Spoiler Alert: AUCTION.
Yes, we are going to auction for the all the players who send in their availability for GPL...and yes some may not get picked. each team will have at least two players from each BGSC team.
4) Auction process: Still a work in progress. Will finalize on the process once we have the availabilities in.
5) Each team will be given a certain amount of money, budget, say $5,000 (monopoly money) and they have to auction players.
6)
a) All the players will get a chance to be auctioned. The value of the players will be decided on the auction day.
b) Each team can have couple of players outside of gymkhana club members, but, they need to be auctioned. So please send in the name of the players that you want to nominate from outside of the league, preferably played in MSCL so that it is easier to put a $$$ to their name.
c) @Place-holder for rules of auctioning.
It is very important that people send in their availabilities as soon as possible. The auctioning is going to happen Thursday evening at Bikram's place. Everyone is welcome to participate. We will keep you posted on the latest developments on GPL.
